Analysis of the Orthodontic Exams in Department of Orthodontics of Shahid Beheshti Dental School

Background: Exams are an inseparable part of education, and they the main tool to evaluate results educational process. If based on scientific rules, exams can show level achievement goals. Objectives: This study aimed quality orthodontic in Shahid Beheshti Dental School, Iran. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all written multiple-choice questions (MCQ) department 2014 - 2015 were evaluated terms content validity, structural discrimination index, difficulty taxonomy. To collect data, Millman checklist, analysis table, standard formula used. SPSS software version 21 was used analyze data. T-test, chi square, independent sample test for statistical analysis. Results: Our showed that 86.55% MCQ form 13.5% form. Content validity considered 94.8% exams. Standard rules observed 93.61% questions. Discriminative index estimated be 41.6 68.8%, respectively. Also, 43.7% categorized as taxonomy I, 44.38% II, 11.58% III. Conclusions: held School academic year acceptable considering their index. However, low, poor conditions
